Silk Embroidery in Cairo
I spent a day with my good friend Hamza observing and meeting some of the craftsmen in around his workplace. I met this incredible embroiderer in his shop, where he was halfway through a massive, intricate silk rug. It’s always refreshing to see this level of intensity when it comes to craftsmanship, as it isn’t exactly a regular practice back home in the US.
